Things You’ll Need
For this particular papercraft, we would suggest you use crepe paper because it already has a texture and the flower would turn out looking more realistic.

How to make Leather Earrings
Instructions
Step 1: Tracing the Template Patterns
Selecting the shades for each layer is really important. We selected pastel shades for all layers, using mint, light pink, and pink glittery faux leathers for the earrings. You can choose which size you want for which shade and trace the template patterns on the selected leathers. Make sure to trace the patterns on the backside of the faux leather pieces, the backside is smoother and easier to trace and won’t leave any trace marks visible for the finished product.
Step 2: Cutting the Patterns
Use a pair of sharp scissors to cut out the traced teardrop patterns from the selected faux leather pieces. Make sure to cut out the edges nicely and smoothly.
Step 3: Making Holes on the Patterns
Take a sharp needle and grab any one of the leather teardrop cutouts. Poke a hole adjacent to the top pointy end of the leather cutout. Similarly, grab the rest of the leather cutouts and poke holes on them near their pointy edges.
Step 4: Attaching Jump Ring
Take a jump ring (big or medium-sized jump ring) and insert the jump ring through the hole of the leather teardrop cutout. We attached the large teardrop pattern first.
Step 5: Attaching All Patterns Together
Insert the medium-sized leather teardrop pattern to the front side of the large one and then insert the small leather teardrop cutout to the front side of the medium one. Arrange them nicely.
Step 6: Attaching the Earring Hook
Grab an earring hook, we’re using fish hooks. Attach the earring hook with the jump ring and then use flat nose pliers to close the jump ring tightly.
Step 7: Crafting the Other Pair
Follow the same technique to craft the other earring to complete the pair.

Tips for Beginners
Here are some tips if you’re having difficulty on how to make leather earrings.
- Trace patterns on the backside of the leather pieces, it leaves no trace marks to the front.
- Use a pencil or fabric marker to trace the leather piece.
- Use sharp scissors to cut the traced leather and use an x-acto knife to make smaller and neater cuts.
- Use a sharp needle to make holes on the leather if required.
- Do not use super glue for leather crafts, the best option is to use white glue or hot glue if you’re looking for a quick craft.
