About Me

I’m Muhaimina, a passionate craft artist, blogger, wife of an architect, and most importantly, mother of a sweet little boy and a darling little girl. I’m so excited to have you visit my blog, which is pretty much my second home!

I’ve been crafting ever since I can remember. In fact, I don’t remember a time I didn’t enjoy crafting! I wouldn’t say I learned all the bits and dits of crafting all by myself. It runs in the fam and I had the privilege to have my grandmother and my uncle (mom’s side) as my mentor in this craft journey.

Places I’ve been featured

Here are just a few of the various outlets that have interview me or featured me as an arts and craft expert.

Awards and Wins

Crafting contests have been my favorite hobby for the past 10 years! I’ve won a bunch of contests in that time, especially for making jewelry, crocheting, and papercrafts. Here are some of my win and awards.

About the Craftaholic Witch

The Craftaholic Witch is a creative blog started by Muhaimina Faiz in 2015. Since the beginning, the purpose of the blog has been to showcase DIY projects in an easy-to-understand way and inspire beginners through easy-to-use how-to articles.

We’ve grown a lot since then, with over 100,000 readers every month finding joy in crafting through our tutorials. In the last eight years, we’ve shared 230+ DIY articles for crafters of all ages.

Behind the scenes, we’re a small team of crafters, writers, and testers. We create paper crafts, crochets, and jewelry, testing each project to make sure even beginners can easily follow along.

We’re not just about crafting – we’re about making it simple. We’re always working to make our tutorials the easiest to follow for you.

In 2022, we joined the Aralas Creative family, alongside Baking Venture and Pattern Heaven. This means more creative ideas are on the way.

The Journey of the Craftaholic Witch

The idea of starting a craft blog wasn’t a random decision. the journey that brought me here today still surprises me.

It was during a summer vacation in 2012; I was going through a tough phase; so I decided to rather stay home, learn something new and give myself the time to heal. While googling for an easy paper flower pattern, I stumbled upon a website called Instructables. I was Awed by their variety of DIY content and created an account right away.

At one point, I started posting, learning, and interacting with other creators, getting positive feedback from the community, winning contests, and building a creative circle of my own. I won over 50 international contests, and posted over 150 DIY projects on Instructables; and I was inspired more than ever, to start my own DIY and craft platform. And hence, with all the experience and inspiration, the Craftaholic Witch was created in 2015. It was quite a tough journey to figure out how to create and manage a blog (still learning) but it worked out pretty well in the end.

At first, I simply wanted to share anything and everything I crafted but with time, I started to sort and organize the blog into a more formal way. The Craftaholic Witch grew, from a small platform of a craft lover to a place for crafters from all around the globe.

The goal is to create a platform for passionate crafters, who love to learn new craft skills, try out new craft projects, and discover their inner spark of creativity. I am immensely grateful for the chance to share my love and knowledge for crafting with 100K+ readers from all around the globe, each month.
