DIY Heart Bookmark

Valentine’s day is around the corner and many of us have already started to plan out the special day for the special person. Today we will share with you how to make a very simple and cute wire heart bookmark. This wire heart bookmark is fairly easy to make, takes only a few minutes and you need only 3 supplies to craft one. If you’re looking for a handmade gift idea that also happens to be budget-friendly, then this wire heart bookmark is the one. Go ahead and have a look at the tutorial.

How to Make a heart bookmark Using Wire

List of Supplies:

• Craft wire – 16 or 18 gauge
• Ruler
• Craft pliers – cutting, looping, and flat nose pliers

Instructions

Step 1: Measure and Cut Wire

Measure 10 inches of wire and cut the measured length from the bundle using cutting pliers. Be careful not to bend the wire, keep it straight. 

Step 2: Create Loop

Use the looping pliers to create a small loop at the open end of the wire. 

Step 3: Create Twirl

Coil the wire around the loop 2 or 3 times to create a twirl pattern. Keep the coiling loose and even.

Step 4: Repeat Previous Steps

Now, reach the other end of the wire and repeat the process to create another twirl at that end. Make sure to keep the size of both twirls as even as possible. 

Step 5: Bend Wire

After creating the twirl patterns on both ends of the wire, measure the middle point of the twirled wire. Bend the wire at that point and bringing the twirl patterns towards each other. 

Step 6: Adjust Heart Shape

Use your fingers to adjust the bent wire and twirl patterns to form a nice heart shape.
