Instructions
You have the paper lily temple, now let’s jump to the step-by-step instructions.
Trace and cutouts patterns
I’m using pink coloured craft paper for the petals, yellow for the fringed strip, and green coloured craft paper for the leaves. You can use any shade of pink or white, or choose any colour as you wish. We traced the petals, strip and leaves using a pencil and cut them out using scissors. Use scissors to cut a 1cm slit from either pointy ends of the petal cutouts. Cut the round base from any coloured paper.
Crafting the petals – 1
Take any one of the petal cutouts and apply glue on either side of the slit.
Crafting the petals – 2
Overlap the 2 sides and place the intact side over the glued side to join them. Press the overlapped parts together to make sure that they are glued nicely.
Crafting the petals – 3
After the glue dries, fold the top end of the petal towards the backside. This will give the petal a 3d look.
Craft all 18 petals similarly
Similarly, craft the rest of the petal cutouts.
Glue petals on the base
Place the round base cutout on a flat surface and apply 6 dots of glue around the border of the base. Stick 6 petals on each dot. Place the overlapped sides part on the glued area. This is the 1st layer (outer layer) of the petal.
Glue petals in 3 layers
Glue 6 petals for the 2nd layer and the last 6 petals for the 3rd (centre layer) layer.
Craft the centre
Coil the yellow fringed strip tightly and apply glue along the intact side of the strip. Apply glue at the end of the coil to secure the pattern.
Trace vines on the leaf cutouts
Glue the coiled strip in the centre of the flower base. Use your fingertips to spread open the fringed parts. Use a green sharpie or marker pen to draw the vines on the green leaf cutouts.
