Create Colorful Wooden Beaded Charm
I love to add a little crafty touch on everything! Well, maybe not everything but of course who doesn’t like to accessorize key rings, small purses, bags, cell phone, especially when you’re a craft addict! I had some colorful wooden beads laying around and some scrap leather. I came up with 2 ideas immediately and this key charm is one of them.
Check out the list of supplies, gather’em all, follow the instructions and make one, it won’t take more than 5 minutes!
Supplies:
- Leather
- X-acto knife
- Pencil and ruler
- Wooden beads
- Key ring
Instructions:

Measure and mark a strip on the leather. Cut out the strip from the leather using x-acto knife. Fold the leather strip into half. Tie a small knot near the closed end, make sure to keep a loop.

Start beading the strip through the open end. Bead the strands as much as you want. Use different colored and shaped beads for a nice combination.

Remember to keep enough strip at the open end while beading, because we’ll need to create another knot at the end. Tie the knot at the end after you’re done beading. The knot should be adjacent to the last bead.
Make more of’em and simply attach them with key rings through the loop. You can use other kinds of beads as well, but they should have big holes as leather strips are pretty thick.
