Cherry Blossom Flowers – Paper Quilling
Cherry blossoms are one of the most elegant flowers! No matter how you craft them, what material you use, they always look pretty and perfect! I loved how these quilled cherry blossoms turned out and it’s such an easy craft for anyone to try out, even for beginners. These quilled cherry blossoms are perfect as last minute gift idea; And also, this quilled cherry blossom art is great for simple home decor lover.

List of Supplies
- Paper quilling strips
- Slotted quilling tool
- Brown craft paper
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Craft glue
Tutorial
Step 1
Choose a color for the quilled cherry blossom flowers and prepare at least 6 quilling strips of any length you want (I used 15 cm long strips). Use a yellow colored quilling strip of the same length as the previous ones but its thickness should be double than the previous ones.
Make quilled teardrop shapes with the long strips selected for the flowers and cut thin fringes along any one sides of the yellow strip. Roll the fringed yellow strip along the intact part tightly and apply glue at the end of the roll to secure it.
Place and glue the 6 quilled teardrops together to form the cherry blossom flower.
Insert the closed end of the rolled-fringed yellow strip into the center of the quilled cherry blossom flower. Press the fringes with the tip of your finger to spread them a little.
Step 2
Similarly create a few more quilled cherry blossom flowers. You can use different shades of the same colored quilling strips to make the flowers.
Step 3
Cut out a silhouette tree branch pattern from a brown colored craft paper (or select any colored craft paper you want). Prepare a piece of paper for the art. I think this quilled art would look nice on mint or sky blue colored art paper, but you can choose any color you want.
Step 4
Apply glue on either side of the silhouette tree pattern and attach it on the art paper.
Step 5
Now one by one glue the quilled cherry blossom flowers on the paper tree branches.
